Montmartre

This picture "comes from" Montmartre. I was walking in those old cobblestones street, (actually it is the only area where there still are some paving stones in Paris). Furthermore, I was intrigued by this small street and its architecture.


This photographs is surrounded by a lot of walls and "buildings" (in a French style). I think the Black and White aspect communicates an atmosphere of the old Paris. We can see far off some people who seem tiny in comparison with this narrow passage.


The light on the top and the dark on the bottom emphasize the lines contrast: we have some horizontal lines which guide us towards the end and vertical lines which show us that there is always a way out.
